Aviemore and Surrouding Area

Uath Lochans

This secluded spot offers lakeside and woodland walks, varying in length and difficulty. The sheltered spots are a perfect area for lunch! Further infromation can be gained from the above link.

Ruthven Barracks

Ruthven Barracks is a picturesque and historic castle surviving from the time of the Jacobite Rebellion. Further infromation can be gained from the above link.

Kingussie and Newtonmore

These attractive highland towns offer crafts, girfts, museums and an 18 hole golf course along with plenty of places to stay. Further infromation can be gained from the above link.

Highland Folk Museum

This museum offers a chance to go back in time and walk through the material remains of 400 years of Highland life from clansman to crofter. Further infromation can be gained from the above link.

Speyside Distillery

Why not try the local dram? The Speyside Distillery used to dominate the town of Kingussie but today, the whisky is made on the tranquil and secluded banks of the River Tromie. Further infromation can be gaiend from the above link.
